A lot of talk around the Bay Area about a “big game” happening this weekend. But for Arsenal fans, Saturday against Sunderland is the only one that matters.
It’s been a good week so far. After thumping Leeds last weekend, Arsenal finished off Chelsea in the League Cup semifinal, earning the right to play Man City in the Final this March.
Having beaten Newcastle in the other semifinal, Man City must be unnerved by the prospect, because Pep Guardiola is whinging nonstop. First, about recent transfer, Marc Guéhi’s ineligibility for the final. Then about their traveling to London for the match. Apparently, the lack of punishment for 115 pending charges, has only boosted City’s sense of entitlement.
All of that is just background noise right now. The last time out at Sunderland, the Black Cats managed a last minute, smash and grab draw. To maintain their Premiership lead, Arsenal must have revenge.
Not sure where everyone was last weekend as turnout was a bit light. Hope to see more of you this Saturday! This is the big game of the weekend.
COYG!
Best, Mark
