Gooners,
Arsenal overcame a strenuous first half of their Champions League match against Lille. As opposition sides often do, the French club parked le bus and dared the Gunners to break them down. But persistence paid off and with goals from Timber, Eze, and Saka, Arsenal walked away 3-0 winners.
There was a graphic floating around online stating that 20 of Arsenal’s 21 goals this season have come from open play, giving them the highest ratio (95%) of any Premier League side. Does this mean we’ll have to retire the “set piece” chants at the pub?
Now on to Nottingham. Arsenal two most recent visits have ended in 0-0 draws, in stark contrast to repeat 3-0 victories at home. The Tricky Trees have had a difficult start to the season, so hopefully our lads can continue their winning ways
After being out of town for Leeds, I’m back at Maggie’s Sunday and Bay Area Gooners Champions Swag (scarves, t-shirts, and hoodies) will available. Don’t miss out on this season’s brilliant design.

We had a stalwart group of about 30 for last weekend’s pre-dawn match, so given the leisurely 8:30 am start time Sunday, I’ll expect to see everyone at the pub.
Best, Mark
