Our Bay Area Gooners off-season poll revealed a strong desire for more people joining the songs and chants at Maggie’s. You may have hesitated because you don’t know the words, so here’s a few basics. I share these with the hope Maggie’s gets louder on match days. Note: Each chant/song mentioned includes a link toContinue reading “Take a chants on matchday”

A choice kit
If I didn’t know better, I’d suspect Arsenal launched their 3rd third kit today in an attempt to overshadow our own kit launch. Sure, theirs is nice, but ours is 🔥. The choice is yours. We’ve been able to create some great swag over the years, but this might be our most exciting yet. Today,Continue reading “A choice kit”

Let’s begin again Saturday
Begin the begin. Arsenal’s 2023/2024 Premiership season starts Saturday, and this will be our 17th year, watching the Gunners at Maggie McGarry’s. These are exciting times for Arsenal fans. Last season’s 2nd place finish, big off-season signings, and a Community Shield victory over Man City last week, has us brimming with optimism. People always askContinue reading “Let’s begin again Saturday”

Coming to America
For many Gooners living in America, Arsenal coming over, is the first (for some, the only) opportunity to see their beloved English football side in person. Despite the somewhat inconsequential nature of these friendlies, the excitement is palatable amongst our crowd. Parties Across America First stop is the nation’s capital, with Arsenal playing the MLSContinue reading “Coming to America”
Something in the air
Definitely something in the air. Stateside Gooners eagerly await Arsenal’s preseason visit to the United States, with stops in Washington DC, New York, and Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the club has not been idle. William Saliba and Reiss Nelson both signed new deals, and the mercurial but beloved Granit Xhaka is moving on. The Gunners signedContinue reading “Something in the air”
What lies ahead
We’ve had a little time to reflect on the Arsenal season, but it’s already time to move on. Transfer window speculation has already hit peak insanity and the 2023-2024 season fixture list dropped yesterday. Bay Area Gooners can now plan their life accordingly, beginning in August. The scheduling gods have cursed West Coast Arsenal fansContinue reading “What lies ahead”
One more time
Definitely not the finish we’d hoped for. Arsenal’s title challenge simply ran out of gas, at the same time as Man City’s kicked into top gear. The end of the season was particularly hard for our group as we mourned the loss of our friend, Brent Yocom. Despite everything, it’s been an exciting season atContinue reading “One more time”
A big loss
Arsenal’s loss to Brighton & Hove last week, effectively ending their title challenge was depressing and demoralizing. But it pales compared to the personal loss, we endured this week. Long time Bay Area Gooner, Brent Yocom passed away this week. He was 46. Brent joined our group in 2011, and was immediately hard to miss.Continue reading “A big loss”
