What a week to be an Arsenal supporter. The Gunners demolish Sp-rs on the back of an Eze hat trick and three days later, dispatched Bayern Munich in the Champions League league phase.
The Bundesliga club have long been a thorn in Arsenal’s side over the years. After a somewhat even first half, Arsenal dominated Germany’s best side, particularly through the midfield play of Rice and Eze. But it’s the cheeky, brilliant Martinelli goal I’ve watched repeatedly. Highlights here.
But the matches come fast and furious this time of year, and another London derby is on the calendar for Sunday. Chelsea sit in second place and will be boosted by the return of Cole Palmer. Definitely a stirring test of Arsenal’s mettle.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our North London Derby food drive for the San Francisco – Marin Food Bank. We received a significant amount of food and cash donations. Your support of our charitable efforts are truly appreciated.
I cannot wait to be back at the pub! See you Sunday! COYG!

North London forever Whatever the weather These streets are our own
Another North London Derby this weekend, and another opportunity for Arsenal to assert dominance over their less fortunate London neighbors. Unfortunately, they have to do it without Gabriel Magalhães, who picked up an injury during a meaningless &%#$@! friendly last weekend.
Just once this season, I’d like Arsenal player injuries, to NOT be the leading pre-match story. In addition to Big Gabi, we will be without Gyökeres, Ødegaard, Martinelli, Havertz, Madueke, and Jesus. Small consolation that Spurs also face a significant number of injuries.
Still, I fancy our chances and hope the Gunners demolish the Tiny Totts.

Arsenal went into their Champions League match against Slavia Praha with the news that Viktor Gyökeres was injured and likely would not be available until after the international break.
He joins an injury list which includes Ødegaard, Martinelli, Havertz, Madueke, and Jesus. But despite the home side getting off to a strong start, the Gunners bossed their way into a 3-0 victory, with Mikel Merino getting a brace following Saka’s penalty.
Andre Harriman-Annous and Max Dowman came on late, with the latter becoming the youngest ever player to feature in a Champions League match. But the Gunners’ defensive efforts were the real story, with an 8th successive clean sheet, equaling a club record that’s stood since 1987.
November has been a rough month for Arsenal in recent seasons, but heading into this one, cautiously optimistic the team will weather the storm. However, Saturday’s opponent, Sunderland are no slouches. Featuring former Gunner, Granit Xhaka, the Black Cats sit in fourth place and represent a formidable challenge.
